Corvin Castle in Hunedoara
The castle is unique in Romania thanks to its Gothic architecture taken from Southeast Europe. Inspired by the French style, the place that today is a museum has been the point of attraction of many passionate about history or cinematographic art, as evidenced by the many films shot inside the castle.
Also known as Huniazilor Castle, it is the medieval fortress of Hunedoara and has been included in the top of fairytale destinations in Europe, being one of the most beautiful in the world.
The huge construction was erected in the 15th century by Ioan de Hunedoara on top of a rock at the base of which the Zlaști stream flows quietly. The view is impressive both inside the castle towers and outside the building, which is the largest civilian and military building still standing in Romania.
