b) He said he had been picking grapes all day. ( nu există verbul "to pinck")

c) They said they would come in a minute.

d) He said he hadn't any money on him. ("haven't" nu merge singur in cazul ăsta, ori e greșeală de tipar, ori ai transcris tu greșit).

De fapt, ambele erau corecte, dar prima e mai bună din punct de vedere gramatical..
