Sally has a camping trip next weekend, and her teachers just sent us the list of things that she needs in an envelope.
They are going to do some DIY activities, so she will need rubber bands, a penknife, some paper clips, ribbons, some rope, some cutters, some string, and things like that. The teachers said that one of the other activities they’ll do is clean up the pavement and put the trash in a large dustbin on the kerb, which I think is wholesome, since pollution is getting a lot worse, and the grass verge is sure to look better without being covered in rubbish. And when it’s dark out, they’ll sit by the fireplace, next to some bookshelves and some bookcases, telling each-other stories and writing them in their notebooks, later stamping them with their favourite stampers. The next morning, they are going to cook their own breakfast, so I might also have to pack her some saucers and a saucepan! Overall I hope Sally has a great trip, it feels good to get away from home sometimes.
