It has a long history beginig as a Roman Republic in 753 B.C .As the Romans Conqured more tribes they became a Republic then an Empire .Then it was split into the East and West
The Big Shikism in 1054 and the Italian Penisula became Catholic. The south got conqured by Charlamenge's Empire and it can be feeled timp today
Then it was part of the HRE
