Dear Samuel,
I recently found out that you came out as homosexual to my aunt last night and i wanted to congratulate you for doing so, it must have been very hard to stay hidden away in the closet for so long, i admire your bravery truly! If something unfortunate ever happens to you, like being called vile words, or be told that its a sin, or even get physically harassed, don’t forget that there are numbers you can text or call in order to prevent suicide. I’ve seen how many people treat homosexuality, like its a sin, or a disease, and it honestly disgusts me to see that some may even use this topic in home-works, everyone has their own opinion and ones shouldn’t be forced onto others. Many people see the LGBTQ+ community as a disgrace to society when in reality its just a community like any other, united by love, we are all human after all, and we should all embrace ourselves no matter what race, age, disability, sexuality or identity. If you ever need someone to talk to, I’ll always be here for you, and I’m always happy to help, be proud of who you are, stand tall and remember that there will always be a community who will welcome you of who you are, also don’t be scared of letting people who refuse to support you go, as in life, people come and go like the tides of the ocean.
With love, (numele tau)
