How it was worn: The women wore a cloth shirt (ie), lap and pieces that covered the legs, which later received different names: catrinţă, valnic, fotă or opreg.
Different designs: The shirts differed from region to region not only in the texture of the materials, but also in the patterns and embroidery applied.
Nowadays, it is no longer worn daily in any village, but only in certain situations, festivities, ceremonies, times of the year.
