The way we communicate has changed dramatically over the past ten years. More and more people are beginning to use the e-mail in their working lives and the voice mail has been introduced into many offices as a way of helping people to communicate. And outside work, life has changed dramatically as well. Most people now own an answer machine and many of them carry mobile phones. However, this is not always popular with people around them: for example, in the U.K, some of the railway companies have introduced carriages where no phones or laptop computers are allowed so passengers can enjoy a peaceful journey.
