The horse (Equus caballus) is a copious herbivorous mammal of considerable size, being one of the seven modern species of the genus Equus. It is part of the Perissodactyla order, the Ecvidee family. Originally from Europe and Asia, it is now spread across all continents; it comes from three ancestors: the diluvial horse (Equus robustus), the Mongolian horse (Equus przewalski) and the tarpanic horse (Equus gmelini). There are several horse breeds: for riding, traction and samar.
