When it comes to teenagers choosing something,it is a rollecoaster of emotions,wether or not it is a piece of advice or their own choice.
While teenagers vary in mental health,maturity and views,I personally believe that a teenager is capable of choosing the subjects they want to study.If it goes wrong,it is them to blame.If anyone gives them advice,they can follow or not,and if they do, they will learn from it,and shape it into something better.
Picking clothes,in my opinion,is a very fun activity. When it comes to any age above 5,I believe they should choose their own clothes. While it is weird,it would really help kids with imagination and self choices in the future,as well as expressing their style and likings. Giving advice on clothes to a teenager is useless,as you'll never know what they'll like.
But the most important I believe is giving teenagers life changing advice. Yes,this varies,but giving them advice such as "Don't smoke!","Don't drink!","Don't vandalize!" will help them shift into good people instead of people with wrong doings. They will mature better and be grateful at some point for being told to not do wrong things.
