I'm not sure how carefully the editorial team there checks the contributions that come from all over the world, but what I do know is that every time I happen to go to the site and look for a topic that is familiar to me (usually to I check a certain information or the title of a book), I find that they are well informed.
But the fact that they are open to contributions written by anyone involves certain risks, and some have found that they are attributed things they did not do, sometimes even reprehensible things. Of course, those in question protest and the wrong information is then corrected.
