Past Perfect Tense sau Trecutul Perfect exprimă o acțiune trecută și terminată care s-a desfășurat înaintea altei acțiuni trecute.

  • Forma afirmativă: SUBJECT+HAD+PAST PARTICIPLE;

I had solved the homework before you arrived here.

  • Forma negativă: SUBJECT+HAD NOT/HADN'T+PAST PARTICIPLE;

I hadn't had the chance to talk to you after you left.

  • Forma interogativă: HAD+SUBJECT+PAST PARTICIPLE;
